What lies beneath: assessment and management of undermining and tunnelling wounds
Following Dot Weir’s recent webinar, ‘Approaching chronic wounds’, this webinar will focus on chronic wounds that have tracts running under the surface. It will highlight the difficulties in assessing a wound tract, as well as trying to heal them.
Available on-demand from August 7th 06:00am AEST / 06:00am NZDT
The information will be followed by case studies on several chronic wounds with tracts, and how she managed them. She will discuss her dressing selections, and the clinical considerations on why she chose them.
After the webinar you will:
- Be able to define both wound undermining and wound tracts
- Have a greater understanding of how to pack this type of wound, and cover it with a secondary dressing
- Comprehend the M.O.I.S.T. principles of wound healing
